Ciao!! Welcome to September and to all our members!! It was so nice to see everyone at the meetng tonight. We had 61 members in attendance. Before our meeting we enjoyed another wonderful spuntino provided by the Men’s club. Thanks guys!!
On Sunday August 15th a total of 110 members and guests had a wonderful time at the “Scholarship Tea Fund Raiser”. The ballroom was lovely. Thank you to our hostesses who decorated their individual tables with flair and personality. We have a great group of ladies with many decorative skills and imaginations. The menu was wonderful, all the scones, cookies, sandwiches etc., were handmade and donated by our members and were very tasty. Thank you to our chairladies Barbara Barassi and daughter Christina Davis, for all your participation in putting this event together to make it such a success. To our members who volunteered to work in the kitchen and prepared the tea trays of food for each course, and to those members who brought gifts for the raffle, as always, they are very much appreciated! Our Fratellanza Men’s Club volunteer wait staff was outstanding. Thanks guys!! This was another great event in true Fratellanza Style!!
The 4th Annual Italian Festa, was Saturday, August 29, 2026. It was so nice to see our members, families and friends at this event. All the fun booths, great food, drink and games. 50/50 raffle. It was a fun filled day! Thank you to chairlady Nancy McDonough and all the wonderful volunteer members on the committee for putting this fabulous event together again. It couldn’t have been the success it was without all of you!! Let’s do it again next year!!
Our trip to San Francisco on Sunday, August 30, 2026, to see “HAIRSPRAY’ started with a wonderful buffet at the club, Special Salad, Tortellini, garlic bread and dessert. Yum!! Then we all got on the bus for a very nice ride to the city to see the play (which was enjoyed by all) and then back to the club. A big thank you to Marilyn Pricco Sibitz for getting this day trip together and to the members who attended. I’m looking forward to more events like this. I hope you are too! September 16, 2025 – “August-September Birthday”. A lovely menu is planned, special salad, gnocchi w/pesto, chicken, roasted potatoes and peas and dessert. Drawing gifts are appreciated. Get your group together and make reservations early. Reminder: one person makes reservations per group and, let the reservationists know if you have a member with a birthday in your group, so they can be acknowledged.
September 27, 2026 “SUNDAY BINGO #2” We had so much fun at our last Bingo Sunday we have it on the calendar again. Time: 11:00-3:00 PM Cost: $30.00 includes: lunch and Bingo. Cash prizes for each game. Bring friends and family (men are also invited). Don’t forget your dabbers!!!! See flyer for more information making reservations etc. Do you like Parades? Then you won’t want to miss out being at the Italian Heritage Parade in San Francisco on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Bring your family and friends and show your Italian colors. You may see some of our East Bay Club Presidents and representatives riding or walking the parade route. It’s always a fun day!!!
HO! HO! HO! Santa Reservations letter and Form have been emailed out. The Children’s Christmas Party is Sunday December 13, 2026. Mail your reservaVons early. Deadline is OCTOBER 6, 2026. (no exceptions) see the letter for details. In closing, Fratellanza Women’s Club member Loretta Iacobitti passed away. She truly loved the club, and wore many hats: Passed President, Vice President, Board, Trustee, and more. Loretta will truly be missed by all of us. Please keep Loretta and her family, Vicki Berndt (Kevin) Nick Iacobitti (Char) and family in your prayers. Loretta, your spirit will always be with us.
