Ciao, June has arrived!
It was so nice to see so many members (a total of 82) at tonight’s Business Meeting. Following our meeting we had a lovely visit with Author, Barbara Pagni Denton, who spoke about her book “Sweet Success”, a wonderful story about Crockett, CA in the early days, and the stories of the women working at the C & H Refinery. After Barbara’s presentation we had time for a Q&A session, led by Claudia Albano. We then sampled 11 cakes baked by our members, Mimi Smith, Diane Warren, Nancy Ingram, Melinda Brignone, Natalie Lenz-Acuna, Lillian Taddei, Lauren Brignone, Joan Brignone, Arlene Mcginnis, and Bridget Belick. All the recipes for these delicious cakes are included in Barbara’s book. Thank you to Joan Brignone for introducing this event to the club, we all had a great time!!
Our members Birthday Dinner/Scholarship Presentation was attended by 162 members and guests. A very “Big Thank You” goes out to our Mother/ Daughter team Roseanne and Francesca Piccinini, (this was their first chaired dinner), their menu, set-up crew, wait staff, cooks and bartenders, all did a wonderful job. Thank you to the members for the wonderful raffle gifts. In attendance, 23 members celebrated their birthdays, and 8 scholars were awarded their certificates from our Fratellanza Women’s Scholarship Committee, as their proud families and friends cheered them on. Congratulations to all!!
Sunday June 8, 2025, is our Bunco/Ravioli Luncheon chaired by Diane Sericati and Renee Howley-Borreani get your reservations made soon and join in on the fun!! Raffle gifts are always appreciated!
Tuesday July 15, 2025, Birthday Dinner/Biscotti Cookie Sale -dinner chaired by Rozz Cantisani and Bake Sale chaired by Lillian Taddei, Diane Proto, and Vali Ebert. More information to follow.
Sunday, August 17, 2025, is our Scholarship Fundraiser Tea (NOTE: Revised date from August 16); this event is chaired by Barbara Barassi and daughter Christina Davis. Please contact Barbara to host a table or help with food preparation. Raffle gifts are always appreciated!
Sunday August 24, 2025, is a day trip to San Francisco to see My Fair Lady – chaired by Marilyn Sibitz. Flyers were disbursed this evening and in the last bulletin. Contact Marilyn.
Saturday September 6, 2025, is our Italia Festa, chaired by Ann Martorello and Nancy McDonough.
