Ciao everyone and welcome to July!!
I hope this bulletin finds you and your families well and enjoying this beautiful weather. A perfect time for celebrating school graduations, weddings and of course the Fourth of July (Independence Day) picnics, BBQs with the family and those of you vacationing with family and friends.
It was so good to see you all at the meeting tonight. We had 42 members in attendance, and we all enjoyed a lovely spuntino provided by the Men’s Club. Thank you to our Treasurer, Becky Lazzarotto for all your yummy homemade cookies. It was fun for us to sit and enjoy our social time together. Let’s do it again at next month’s meeting. I’ll be there how about you!?
The Fratellanza Women’s Club will be very active going forward with all our upcoming events. I certainly hope that you and your families and friends, will join in on all the fun! On July 15th we will celebrate our June and July Birthday girls at our dinner along with our Biscotti/Cookie Bake Sale. The bake sale is being chaired by Lillian Taddei and co-chaired by Diane Proto and Vali Ebert. I will be chairing the dinner. The cooks and I have a wonderful menu lined up for you and your family and friends, to enjoy that evening. (Men are welcomed to attend). The wait staff is in place, but, if you have time on Monday, July 14th @ 10:30AM, and can come down to help set-up I would appreciate it. Please see the menu and all other information on the flyer attached in the bulletin. So, let’s get our Red, White and Blue “sparkle” on and celebrate the 4th and the birthdays of our members. The dining room will be decorated for the occasion. I hope to see you there!!! Reminder: Raffle gifts are always welcomed and most of all, appreciated!!
I have very exciting news to share with all you members. The Fratellanza Women’s Club sponsored Giuliana Sorbi, as our candidate/representative for the IAF Queen for 2025-2026. Giuliana is the daughter of member Juli Sorbi and granddaughter of long-time members Adriana and Lee Matteucci. On Sunday, June 29, 2025, the interviews were conducted here at the Fratellanza Club and Giuliana was chosen by the three judges for the position of Queen. The three other contestants who represented the Galileo, Emily Stemler, Ligure, Luciana Bagneschi and Bon Tempo, Valentina Grazzini will join her court as Princesses. Congratulations to all these fine young ladies for representing your clubs. I know you will all do well in representing our Italian communities and carrying on our Italian heritage and family values. The details on the coronation dinner celebration will be available soon, let’s all join in and support our “Queen”.
