Happy May – Spring Has Sprung!! It was such a pleasure to see so many members at our Business Meeting tonight. We had 70+ members in attendance and we all enjoyed our Mother’s Day dinner of Ceaser salad, spaghetti with meatballs and sausages accompanied by garlic bread and for dessert, a vanilla and chocolate sundae in a cup. Yum! We had an informative meeting following our dinner.
We had the second reading of By-Law changes, that will be read again at our June meeting and voted on. We also, talked about up-and-coming events that need to be marked on our calendars.
Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, will be our members Birthday Dinner that is being co-chaired by our mother and daughter team, Roseanne and Francesca Piccinini. They have a wonderful menu planned, Fratellanza salad, risotto, roasted chicken, Italian green beans, roasted potatoes and for dessert, ice cream bars. At this dinner we will be wishing “Happy Birthday” to our members for the months of February, March, April and May. Along with all this celebrating, we will be honoring our “2025 Scholarship Recipients” and their families, Lucia Addiego, Michael Fox, Joseph Galetti, Gina Germano, Hailey King, Luca Moore, Diana Olmos, Emma Vernon. Congratulations to all and best wishes for your future. Get your groups together, and make your reservations, you won’t want to miss this event. Following our business meeting on June 3, 2025, we will meet author Barbara Pagni Denton, she will be speaking about her book titled “Sweet Success” a wonderful story of Crocket, California, and share stories of working women at the C&H Sugar refinery. We will get to sample cakes from the recipes that are included in her book. See you at the meeting and let’s all have a sweet time! 😊
Sunday, June 8, 2025, we will have our Bunco/Ravioli Luncheon, chaired by Diane Sericati and Renee Howley-Borreani. Come roll the dice and enjoy the amernoon of food and fun!
Saturday, August 16, 2025, we have our Scholarship Fundraiser Tea, chaired by Barbara Barassi and daughter Christina Davis. Please contact Barbara Barassi, if you would like to host a table or help with food preparation. Also, your support with raffle donations is always appreciated.
Sunday, August 24, 2025, we will have a day trip to see My Fair Lady in San Francisco.
Saturday, September 6, 2025, we are having our Italia Festa, chaired by Anne Martorello and Nancy McDonough.
