Welcome July and the 250th Birthday of the United States of America!!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful day on July 4th! Celebrating with family and friends at a BBQ or having fun attending a Fourth of July parade in your area. It was so good to see you all at the meeting tonight. We had 59 members in attendance, and we enjoyed a lovely spuntino provided by the Men’s Club. Thank you to our members Joanne Greco and Paulette Lagana for the lovely refreshments that they provided this evening.
June in review: Our Bunco afternoon was chaired by Renee Howley-Borreani and Diane Sericati. A nice Ravioli lunch was served, everyone enjoyed a day of rolling dice and shouting “BUNCO”. Our Men’s Club had a delicious Spaghetti & Meatball Dinner on Sunday, June 28, 2026. It was enjoyed by all in attendance. IAF Queen Selection Interviews were held on June 28, 2026. Congratulations! Luciana Bagneschi (Queen) Abigal Perillo (Princess) & Valentina Grazzini (Princess). To our current Queen Giuliana Sorbi (Fratellanza Women’s Social Club.) Thank you for graciously representing our club and our Italian Heritage this year as the 2026, IAF Queen. We wish you the very best for your future and continued success in your duties as “Queen”.
On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, we will celebrate our June/July Birthday Ladies, along with our Biscotti/Cookie Bake sale. The bake sale is being chaired by Lillian Taddei. If you would like to bake your favorite biscotti recipe or cookies, please contact Lillian. I will be chairing the dinner. We have a wonderful menu lined up for you and your guests to enjoy. Men are always welcomed. Drawing gifts are welcomed and most of all appreciated!! Make your reservations early! See flyer for more information.
On July 26, 2026, come and join us for “BINGO”. Nancy McDonough is chairing this event. A light lunch menu is planned and following is an afternoon of BINGO!! The cost is $30.00 per person (adults only). See flyer for more information. Bring family and friends and spend a fun afternoon at the club!!
Tuesday, August 4, 2026, is our business meeting. We will be honoring all our “Past President’s” with a lovely Spuntino. Our chair is Diane Sericati; please contact Diane and sign up your favorite dish to bring to the table. It is so nice to honor our Past President’s and let them know how much we appreciate what they contributed then and now to our Fratellanza Women’s Social Club. Grazie a Tutti! NOTE: The Nominating Committee shall present its nominees to the general membership at the August 4th meeting. The August meeting will also be open to nominations from the floor. Per our By-Laws, you must have attended 6 meetings from August 2025 – July 2026 to be eligible to run for an office.
Saturday, August 15, 2026, is our Scholarship Fundraiser Tea. Thank you to everyone who made reservations!! This event is “Sold-Out” and reservations are no longer being accepted.
Sunday, August 30, 2026, is “HAIRSPRAY” the play. Join us for lunch at the club and then on the bus to San Francisco. Cost is $124.00. Contact: Rose Marie Gish. Deadline has been extended. We need more reservations for this activity to happen; make your reservations soon!
Let’s keep our Italian Heritage and Culture going strong and our membership growing. **Applications are always available. Requirements: Must be 18 years or older, of Italian descent or married to a Fratellanza Men’s Club member and must be sponsored by two Fratellanza Women’s Club members in good standing.
