Ciao!! Welcome to September and to all our members!!
It was so nice to see everyone at the meeting tonight. We had 62 members in attendance. Before our meeting we enjoyed another wonderful spuntino provided by the Men’s club. Thanks guys!! Along with the festivities we initiated 5 of our 6 new members, Susan Guerra Johnston, Barbara Denton, Alexis Denton, Kelly Driscoll and Eileen Nottoli. Due to school scheduling, Nancy McDonough and I initiated Giuliana Sorbi at the IAF Fund Raiser Dinner. Welcome ladies!!
On Sunday August 17th, a total of 124 members and guests had a wonderful time at the “Scholarship Tea Fund Raiser”. The ballroom was absolutely lovely. 14 hostesses decorated their individual tables with flair and personality. We have a great group of ladies with many decorative skills and imaginations. The menu was wonderful, all the scones, cookies, sandwiches etc., were handmade and donated by our members and were very tasty. Thank you to our chairladies Barbara Barassi and daughter Christina Davis, for all your participation in putting this event together to make it such a success. To our members who volunteered to work in the kitchen and prepared the tea trays of food for each course, and to those members who brought gifts for the raffle, as always, they are very much appreciated! Our Fratellanza Men’s Club volunteer wait staff, was outstanding and looked handsome in white shirts and bow ties. Thanks guys!! This was another great event in true Fratellanza Style!
Our trip to San Francisco to see “My Fair Lady”, started with a wonderful buffet at the club, special salad, tortellini, garlic bread and dessert. Yum!! Then 40 of us got on the bus for a very nice ride to the city to see the play (which was enjoyed by all) and then back to the club. A big thank you to Marilyn Pricco Sibitz for getting this day trip together and to the members who attended. I’m looking forward to more events like this. I hope you are too!
The “East Bay Bocce Tournament” hosted here at the Fratellanza was a fun day for all! Fratellanza Ladies Team #2 placed FIRST and Team #1 placed THIRD, Congratulations ladies for keeping the trophy here at the Fratellanza and thank you to Renee Howley-Borreani for organizing the event.

You may see some of us East Bay Club Presidents and representatives riding or walking the parade route. The Galileo Club has a bus and for a low cost of $55.00 per person, you can ride to and from the city. The bus leaves from the Galileo Club @ 9:00am and returns at 6:00pm.
