NOVEMBER/NOVEMBRE 2025

Ciao November,

November has arrived!!  Hope you turned your clocks back, if not do it now!! đŸ˜ŠđŸ˜Š The time change and colder weather are signs that we are approaching (my personal favorite) “Thanksgiving” and “Christmas”. Hot chocolate, fuzzy slippers, warm quilts are the attire for these colder evenings all while watching a good movie!

I hope you all had the opportunity to attend our October Polenta dinner. We had an exceptionally good turnout. Our chairperson, Alyssa James, and her committee of helpers: set-up, wait staff, kitchen helpers, bartenders, reservation/ticket window ladies and drawing. Wonderful job everyone; thank you for your time and efforts to make this a fun event for all who attended. Let’s not forget all the members who donated all the lovely gifts for our drawing. Thank you, they are always appreciated!!

Did you have the chance to celebrate your Italian heritage at the Italian Heritage Parade in San Francisco on Sunday October 12, 2025? It was truly a beautiful day in the city, with so many people all around enjoying the spirit of being “Italian.” Seeing all the floats the bands, flag waiving and the food!! Not to forget the desserts: cannoli, gelato and all the other wonderful treats available. The absolute “BEST” was seeing our Queen Guliana Sorbi and her court honoring the Fratellanza Women’s Club in the parade. Ladies, you all looked beautiful, and we are honored to have you as our reigning court and representing our club and carrying on our Italian heritage and all it stands for.

Tuesday November 18, 2025, is our Birthday Dinner chaired by Catia Saroni & Maria Da Maren. They have a wonderful menu planned: salad, ravioli, chicken, potatoes, green beans, and for dessert, Pumpkin pie. If you can help serve, please contact them directly. Lillian Taddei will be chairing the Bake Sale; please call her direct and let her know what you will be baking. Bev Chernoff will be chairing our boutique/auction, with helpers Joan and Melinda Brignone. This is a great opportunity to get a start on your Christmas shopping list. Bring cash, check books or Visa!! Reminder: “Men are always invited to our dinners”.

Saturday, November 29, 2025, the decoration committee chaired by Joan Brignone will meet at the club at 9:30am to bring the Christmas spirt to our club’s ballroom, tree, dining room and back card room. Come join in, there will be coffee and pastry for our early birds, followed at noon with a light lunch provided by the Men’s club. Call Joan direct and let her know that you will participate in this fun day.

Tuesday, December 2, 2025 is the Christmas Spuntino Dinner which will occur prior to our Membership Business Meeting. Please call Diane Sericati (510) 526-6470 or Mary Ann De Pianto and let them know what delicious dish you will be preparing/bringing for the Spuntino.
