Happy Spring to all our members!
Our April meeting was well attended, we had 50+ members at our meeting tonight. We all enjoyed a lovely spuntino provided by the Men’s Club. A BIG thank you goes out to our refreshment ladies Linda Mansouri and Lucy Cronin for the delicious cakes. The Men’s club enjoyed them too!
Diane Sericati of the membership committee read 2 new applicants, Debbie Bisio Dwyer and Janelle Kent. Both ladies were accepted and will be installed at our May meeting. We also, passed out 5 “New Member” application forms. Reminder: if you “know” an Italian woman that you would like to sponsor, please contact Diane Sericati or myself and we will get a “New Member Application” to you. Let’s keep our Fratellanza Women’s Social Club growing and going forward.
On Tuesday, March 7, 2026, we celebrated our February/March Birthday Ladies and St. Patrick’s Day. Arlene Howell was our chairlady for this lovely event. We had a delicious dinner and dessert. Thank you to our cooks Mike Raffo, Don Nicoli & Bill Cameron. Great job guys! Also, the members who came to set up and decorate the dining room, and of course to our wonderful waiters and kitchen staff. To our members who generously donate the lovely drawing gifts. Thank you all so very much for your support of our wonderful club!!
Saturday, March 28, 2026, our “81st Anniversary Celebration” was a lovely evening! The Club looked beautiful, the flowers were lovely and our dinner was delicious, our dessert “Raspberry limoncello” cake was yummy! The bartenders’ service made for a festive start; our handsome wait staff were perfect (all volunteers from the Men’s Club), our members and guests had a wonderful time. The energy was high, and everyone was dressed for the evening. At the end of dinner, we went into the ballroom and danced the evening away! Big thanks go out to our women’s club members & men (so many names to mention) that volunteered their time to put this celebration together and made it a wonderful evening!!! Thank you to Karen Garcia for the lovely picture boards that she put together, talk about walking down memory lane. I hope you all enjoyed seeing all the beautiful pictures of our members from the past and our current members, as much as I did!!
Sunday, April 19, 2026, is “Paint and Scoop” please see the flyer. Bring your friends and family for a fun time at the club. We need a total of 30 participants to proceed. At our meeting tonight we voted to try something new! On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, we are having our regular Business meeting. Spuntino is at 6:00PM, meeting at 7:00 PM. Then on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, we are combining our “Mother’s Day” dinner and our April/May Birthday dinner together. As usual all birthday ladies will receive a free dinner and all members who qualify will receive a free “Mother’s Day” dinner. Our chair ladies are Joanne Greco and Paulette Lagana. They have a wonderful menu planned. Would you like to help with setting up. Please call Joanne Greco. Also, to make your reservations, call Diane Sericati or email Vicki Berndt at fwscreservations@gmail.com Reminder: one person makes reservations for your group and picks up tickets. Also, let Diane or Vicki know if there is a member’s birthday, in your group and their name.
