March has arrived!!!
Wow! We are heading into the month of March. Get ready for a time change! On Sunday, March 8th
we “Spring Forward”. Make sure you change all your clocks, watches, timers etc. Speaking of spring,
this is one of my favorite times of the year. Flowers start blooming and the trees and bushes are
getting their new leaves. The air is fresh, and it is time to get out of the house and take a walk, plant in
the yard, or just meet friends for lunch. With the days staying lighter longer, we have no excuse for
attending our meetings, dinners and our upcoming events. Always, check your bulletin for
information, and join us for fun at the club.
This evening, we enjoyed a lovely spuntino, hosted by the Fratellanza Men’s Club, which was followed
by an active and informative business meeting. We had a total of 69 members in attendance. We
initiated 4 new members, “welcome ladies” we look forward to seeing you at our meetings and
participating in our events. It was also nice to see everyone who came to our meeting, and most of all
participating with their positive support for the Fratellanza Women’s Club and its success going
forward. Reminder, “2026” is an election year! If you are interested in running for an officer, board of
directors or trustee position, to be eligible for nomination, a member must attend six (6) meetings
from August 1st to July 31st of an election year. She must be a member for at least one year. To be
eligible for the office of President a member must have served as an officer or on the Board of
Directors for at least one term (two Years).
On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, we had our Polenta dinner. We had 248 members, guests and children
(3) in attendance. The dinner was well received and enjoyed by all. Thank you to the set-up, wait staff,
cooks, bartenders, reservations, and our drawing team, for volunteering your time to make this
another successful evening. And to all the members who donated all the lovely drawing gifts. . . thank
you, thank you!!! Your generosity is always welcomed & appreciated.
Mark, your calendar, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, come and join us in celebrating our February/March
Birthdays/St. Patrick’s Day Dinner. Arlene Howell is chairing this dinner. Check the flyer for the menu
and the information to make your reservations. Don’t wait to RSVP, this will be a fun evening, with
great food, socializing with friends, the dining room will be decorated for St. Patrick’s Day. If you can
help with set-up or on wait staff, contact Arlene Howell @ 510-685-6830. Men, you are always
welcomed to our dinners. Drawing gifts are also appreciated. We look forward to seeing you there!!!

VERY Special Event!! Saturday, March 28, 2026, The Fratellanza Women’s Social Club, will be
celebrating our “81st Anniversary”. The party will start with hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour. This
will be followed by a fabulous dinner that has been planned for your enjoyment. The menu, Special
Salad, Tortellini w/meat sauce, Prime Rib, Smashed potatoes, Italian Green beans, a delicious dessert,
wine and coffee. The cost is $45.00 per person. See our flyer for all the information. Don’t miss out on
the celebration to honor our Italian heritage and culture, officers and members from our past, present
and to our future. Music by the George Campi Band will follow for your dancing pleasure. Evening
