HAPPY FEBRUARY!!
Thank you to all our members (64) who attended our meeting tonight. Our new Vice President Nancy McDonough, Chair of the Board Melinda Brignone and our New Board member Sandi Kent, took their seats to start our New Year!! Thank you, Ladies, for your continued support in helping to keep our club going forward for another successful year!
President Dave Ceccsnti came and spoke to us regarding the Fratellanza Club’s rising costs to operate/maintain our club. He presented important information about the cost changes (which will include the Ladies Club). An email will be going out to all our members regarding the changes discussed and voted on that are necessary going forward in 2026. The Officers, Board of Directors and I, appreciated all your discussions, questions, comments, your vote, and support for our club!!
We initiated 3 new members, “welcome ladies”, 4 new applications were read and approved by the board and members in attendance, and 2 new member applications were given out to our members for family & friends who want to join us. Great news! Applications for new members are always available.
Our December/January Birthday dinner was on January 20th, 2026 –it was a lot of fun. We had 150+ members and guests in attendance. Our menu was well received and enjoyed by all. Thank you to our set-up committee (the dining room looked lovely), wait staff, kitchen staff, drawing ticket ladies, reservations & seating, ticket booth, cooks, & bartenders. Big thank you to all the members who brought the wonderful drawing gifts. You succeeded in making all the winners very happy!!
The Men’s Clubs 94th Anniversary was very nice. Our Women’s Club volunteers did all the set-up, decorating, flowers, and serving. Members and guests in attendance (220) had a lovely time. Gianfranco Sciacero and his helpers did a wonderful presentation of all the picture boards from years past and present. It was so nice to go down memory lane. George Campi and his band played lovely music for us to dance to and enjoy!!
On February 17, 2026, we will be having our” Polenta” dinner. The Board will be chairing this event. Please see the flyer in this bulletin and make your reservations early. The Men’s Club members will be joining us at this dinner. (note: men are always invited). If you can help with set-up or wait staff, please contact Nancy McDonough. Drawing gifts are greatly appreciated! See you at Polenta!!
A “Very Special” event is coming up, on March 28, 2026, it is the Women’s Clubs, “81st Anniversary”. Please put this date on your calendar. We want ALL our members and guests to come to “honor our past and celebrate our future”. The Officers and Board are planning a wonderful menu, decorations, etc. The Fratellanza Men’s Club will be serving. Flyer and more information will be coming soon. See you there!
Let’s s make this another “great year” for our club, by attending the business meetings, volunteering, coming to the dinners and any other events. Always check the bulletin for information. If you have suggestions for fun events let us know.
