Happy New Year 2026 to All!!
I hope that you and your families had a wonderful Christmas and New Years! What a special time of year, sharing the gift of family memories, traditions and just being together!
Just a short re-cap of our December events:
At our December Business Meeting/Spuntino we had a wonderful attendance of 62 members. We all shared the wonderful array of food, (salads, entrees, and desserts) that was prepared by our members for the spuntino. Thank you too all!
Our Children’s Christmas Party was great!! 58 families which included 126 children, enjoyed a lovely lunch of hot dogs, potato salad, green salad, chips, cookies and beverages. After lunch we had a special surprise visit from that” jolly old man in the red velvet suit and white curly beard”, yes! “SANTA”. Just to see the faces on all the children as Santa came walking into the club and taking a seat in his big white Santa Chair was the greatest feeling of the day. “Santa” (aka Rich Giaramita) was so great, taking time to visit and talk to each child no matter how old they were. Fabulous Day!!
Our last event of the year was the members Christmas Dinner and Gift exchange. The evening was well attended by our members. We all enjoyed a great dinner, opening lovely gifts, singing the 12 days of Christmas, and being served by members of the Fratellanza Men’s Club we thank you and the bartenders for adding to our wonderful party!
Our January meeting was welcomed with 54 members in attendance and wishing each other Happy New Year. Our 2026 Calendars were passed out to the members at the meeting (they will also be in this bulletin) we went over the events for this coming year. Also, I want to share with you some of the changes that will start this new year. Per our By-Laws, revised issue 2016, I have appointed and by approval of the board and members in attendance, we now have a Vice President!! Chair of the Board, Nancy McDonough has filled the position and will pass her baton on to our new Chair of the Board, Melinda Brignone. The vacancy on the Board will be filled by longtime member Sandi Kent. Nancy, Melinda and Sandi, will take on these positions in February. Thank you, ladies, for accepting these positions!!
We initiated 2 new members, “welcome ladies”, 3 new applications were read and approved by the board and member in attendance, and 3 new member applications were given out to our members for family & friends who want to join us. Great news!
Our December/January Birthday dinner is on January 20th, 2026 – please see the flier attached for all information, please make your reservations early!! See you there!
Ladies let’s make this a “great year” for our club by attending the business meetings, volunteering, coming to the dinners and any other events. Always check the bulletin for information. Reminder; bring you family, friends and men are always welcome to our dinners. As we say, “the more the merrier”!!
