The new year is a time for resolutions. We the leadership of the FWSC resolve to encourage more membership involvement. We need your help. We have many dinners and events calendared for the year ahead, for which no one has signed up to chair and/or co-chair. We will work WITH YOU. Step up and give it a try.
A work team came together in December and beautifully decorated our club. The children’s Christmas party was a successful effort by many members to host a luncheon and gift giving session by Santa to 115 kids who are children or grandchildren of members. The joy and energy in the room was invigorating! Our members Christmas dinner was delicious and festive. It felt WONDERFUL to “let loose” with our traditional rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas. So, while we members have to put a little time and work into our events, the outcome is camaraderie and good old fashioned fun.
New Year’s resolutions are often hopeful and dreamy. Let’s hope in our case with your patience, kindness and perseverance, we all will realize that dreams do come true.
