SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!
As we started the month of May, the Men’s Club sponsored a lovely “Mother’s Day Brunch”. There were approximately 87 members and family members in attendance, to honor their MOMS! The food was great, and everyone had a great time!! I would like to acknowledge the ladies of the Fratellanza Women’s Club who volunteered their morning to help at the brunch, Rose Marie Gish, Renee Howley, Becky Lazzarotto, Cindy Aiello-Carrel, Melinda Brignone, and myself. We had a fun time too!
Our May Business Meeting and Mother’s Day dinner was a success! It was chaired by our Board of Directors. The dinner menu and dessert were great! It was nice to see everyone and honor the mothers in attendance. Thank you to our cooks Jim Chegia and his team and our awesome men that helped serve so that the ladies could sit down and enjoy their dinner. Great job!!
We will be celebrating our April and May Birthdays at our dinner on May 21, 2024. Arlene Howell is chairing and planning a delicious dinner for all. Also, that evening the Fratellanza Women’s Club Scholarship awards will be presented. Eight scholars and their parents/families will be dining with us. I want to extend a “BIG THANK YOU” to our scholarship committee, Joan Brignone, Melinda Brignone, Bev Chernoff, Rose Marie Gish, and Diane Sericati, for their participation in reviewing all the applications. Bev Chernoff will have the honor of presenting the awards at this dinner. Get your groups together and come celebrate our birthday ladies and honor our graduating seniors and their families. Raffle gifts are appreciated.
Looking towards the month of June, on Sunday, June 23, 2024, an afternoon of “BUNCO” is coming to the club. Our chairwomen are Diane Sericati and Renee Howley. We will have a wonderful Ravioli luncheon and then move into the ballroom and start our games.
August 17, 2024 is our “Scholarship Fundraiser Tea “chaired by Barbara Barassi, and daughter Christina Davis. The “Festa” is scheduled for September 7, 2024.
