Our July Membership Meeting was very well attended. The number of members at each meeting are increasing. If you have not been a part of this fun evening, please come join the the social hour that starts at 6:00pm with the Spuntino Dinner offered by the Men’s Club and dessert provided by one of our members. It is a great time to get to know the members of our club.
We covered a lot of business that needed to be addressed. We voted to donate to the Men’s Club Golf Tournament, their fundraiser for their scholarship fund; we also voted to acquire an alternative way to pay for our activities, dues etc. which will be explained further at our August meeting. July 16 is our Birthday Dinner and Biscotti Sale.
Paulette Lagana and Joanne Greco are chair for the dinner, and Lillian Taddei and Diane Proto are chairs for the Biscotti Sale. Help is needed to set up for the dinner and serve for the dinner. Please call Paulette or Joanne if you can help with their needs and Lillian or Diane if you haven’t signed up to bake cookies.
A very important activity for our Women’s Club is the Festa on September 7th. Our club is chairing this activity with the Men’s Club, and we will receive all of the proceeds earned; which will go into our General Fund. The Men’s Club will be helping us and will receive the proceeds from the no host bar. If you would like to help in any way, please call Ann Martorello or Nancy McDonough. We can use help with donations for prizes for some activities, help running an activity, or bake for the Cake Walk or Cookie Booth. We anticipate getting all of you to participate in some way to make this Festa a gala fun day for all as we earn proceeds for our treasury to increase.
