Our August meeting started with a delicious spuntino by our members. Unfortunately, I had to miss this event because I had the 24 hour flu and could not attend. As always, the food was delicious because we have the best cooks ever. The past presidents were honored at this meeting. Pat Irvine, Karen Garcia, Vera Kaufman, Loretta Iacobitti, Lillian Taddei, Rozz Cantisani, and I have had the pleasure of leading our club over the past 25 years.
We have a wonderful membership of women who have helped our Fratellanza Women’s Club continue to be a very successful club in promoting our Italian heritage. September 7th is our Festa, and we hope you will be involved with the success of this day in some way. Please call Anne Martorello or Nancy McDonough if you would like to lend a hand. We hope you will attend this fun event as there are many activities for adults and children to enjoy.
Our July Birthday Dinner was a wonderful evening chaired by Paulette Lagana and Joanne Greco. They had a new menu that was delicious. Thank you all who attended.
Our next Birthday dinner is September 17 being chaired by Karen Garcia and Dianna Willyard. They will be making homemade pasta as part of their dinner. Please come and enjoy the fun time. Karen or Dianna would like help to set up, or serve, so give them a call if you would like to help. Also, remember, if you bring a raffle prize you will get credit for one of the three meetings you need to attend to receive our three free dinners we have during the year.
