The holiday season is in full swing. Thanksgiving Day will be here in a few weeks, but before we celebrate with family, we have the opportunity to spend some time with our friends and family members at our November Birthday dinner on Tuesday, November 19th. Our chairladies, Linda Granko and Sandi Kent, are planning a tasty dinner of salad, risotto, ham with all the trimmings and a delicious dessert. Please call them if you would like to set up on Monday and/or serve on Tuesday. Before the dinner we will have our holiday bake sale, it’s a good time to stock up for the holidays. !!! (Items for the bake sale need to be wrapped, priced and at the club by 5:30 p.m.). Bake sale chairs are Lillian Taddei and Diane Proto.
Also, this year we will have a special event, a silent auction of hand decorated miniature Christmas trees with various themes- with the proceeds going to our charitable annual donations. Call silent auction chairlady, Bev Chernoff if you have and questions or concerns.
Bake sale, Christmas tree auction and dinner are all included to make for an enjoyable evening. So get your groups together soon, make your reservations early and get the holiday season off with a bang!!!.
There are many activities happening in the coming days and month, the Birthday dinner, and decorating the club for Christmas, The Men’s club annual Christmas Brunch with special activities for young and old, our annual Christmas pot luck before the meeting, the Children’s Christmas party, our members only Christmas dinner and gift exchange, topped off by the New Year’s Eve dinner celebration, refer to the bulletin and special notices and flyers for more details.
As we celebrate this Thanksgiving, we are so thankful for many things, foremost good health, and the growth of our club with the New Year bringing us a new President to guide us, new board members, new trustees and the return of seasoned officers, board members and trustees. We give thanks to our membership for all the support everyone has given us. To everyone for the friendships we have made and continue to have-we are extremely blessed. Wishing everyone a very healthy and Happy Thanksgiving.
