DECEMBER 2024

We had a wonderful and delicious spuntino to start the holiday, before our December meeting. Chairlady, Mary Ann De Pianto, wants to thank every one of our great cooks for contributing to this enjoyable feast. Our November birthday, chaired by Linda Granko and Sandi Kent was a tremendous success. We had the largest attendance since before the start of the pandemic!! We hope that this will continue in the coming months. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all of us.

Everyone supported the Holiday Bake sale, chaired by Lillian Taddei; our members truly came through with an assortment of goodies. The Christmas boutique, all donated by Bev Chernoff, was a welcome treat and the Christmas tree auction was fantastic; we have such talented tree decorating members. Thank you to all who attended and everyone for their hard work in making this such an enjoyable evening.

We have a lot of activities happening in December, first the Men’s club breakfast on December 8th with a special area with activities for kids of all ages to get in the Holiday spirit. We are looking forward to the Children’s Christmas party with Santa on December 15; always a fun time for the children and grown-ups as well.

Our last event will be the Members’ Christmas dinner with our annual gift exchange on Tuesday, December 17th. Plan on attending and sharing the Holiday spirit with your fellow club members-see details in the newsletter. A good time to pay your dues if you haven’t already done so.

As the year 2024 comes to a close, we have many things to reflect upon regarding our club. We have been able to maintain our club without the guidance of a President, with the assistance of the Officers, Board of Directors and Trustees and members. We are so thankful to have Rozz Cantisani as our new President for the coming year. We have been able to have many events for our membership to enjoy. We hope to be able to continue with the help of our members in volunteering to chair and/or assist with upcoming events. We have been very successful in maintaining a good working relationship with the Men’s’ club and should be able to continue to do so in the coming year. There is an array of other events that occurred in the past year for which we are grateful as well. We will be installing our new Officers at the January meeting, plan on attending this first meeting of the New Year and all our monthly meetings to become more involved with the club!!!For the most part our membership has been in good health and we pray for this to continue in the year ahead. Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.
